How it all began...

    MBS Entertainment has officially been in business since 2002, but the roots of founding DJ Benji Shepherd's interest in the world of disc jockeying stretch back to 1992.  That's when he got his first "job" spinning tunes for Georgia Southern University's student run radio station, WVGS, in Statesboro, GA.  Something about that experience gave Benji a fever... and the only prescription was to keep the music playing!  Back home in LaGrange, Benji landed a job with Brite 98.1, WZLG.  He continued to DJ on the 98.1 FM frequency (through 2 name changes as well - it's now Magic 98.1) up until 2007.

     Back in 2002, Benji started getting requests to DJ at various events.  Benji's "fever" to play music for people began to take on new dynamics when entertaining people in person rather than on the air.  Over the years, he's learned that most people who come to a celebration, like a wedding reception or a birthday party, are looking for someone to lead them into that celebration.  And that is exactly what we at MBS Entertainment believe our role is - we are Celebration Leaders...
